321/321H Stainless Steel (1.4541/1.4878)
Titanium-stabilised austenitic stainless steel for high-temperature structural integrity and corrosion resistance.
321/321H Stainless Steel
321 and 321H stainless steels are titanium-stabilised austenitic alloys designed for continuous service in high-temperature environments. 321 (1.4541) resists intergranular corrosion following welding or heat exposure, while 321H (1.4878) contains a higher carbon content to improve creep strength and thermal stability in prolonged service conditions above 500 °C.
Both grades are widely used in structural and pressure-bearing applications where welding, oxidation resistance, and mechanical performance at elevated temperatures are essential. Typical components include exhaust manifolds, furnace parts, heat exchanger tubes, and pressure vessels for the aerospace, petrochemical, and thermal processing industries.
Their balance of durability, formability, and weldability makes 321/321H ideal for fabrication into sheets, plates, pipes, and round bars exposed to repeated thermal cycling or corrosive atmospheres.
