Hastelloy C276 (2.4819)
Engineered for resilience, top-tier corrosion resistance in chemically aggressive and high-pressure environments.
Hastelloy C276
Hastelloy C276 (UNS N10276/2.4819) is a highly corrosion-resistant nickel-molybdenum-chromium alloy designed for service in the most aggressive chemical and marine environments. Its standout feature is its ability to withstand strong oxidising and reducing agents, including hydrochloric acid, wet chlorine, and sulfur compounds, across a broad temperature and pressure range.
The addition of tungsten and a tightly controlled carbon content improves resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking. These qualities make C276 a go-to material for chemical reactors, pollution control units, and subsea systems where long-term integrity is critical. It remains stable under thermal cycling, high mechanical stress, and acidic exposure, especially where other alloys would degrade or fail.
With excellent fabricability and weldability, Hastelloy C276 is widely used in chemical processing, oil and gas, flue gas treatment, and pharmaceutical production, offering reliable performance in systems where corrosion resistance is non-negotiable.
